Splenda and chlorine: dangerous for diabetics.
Few human studies of safety have been published on sucralose.
One small study of diabetic patients using the sweetener showed a statistically significant increase in glycosylated hemoglobin (Hba1C), a marker of long-term blood glucose levels used to assess glycemic control.
According to the FDA, “increases in glycosolation in hemoglobin imply lessening of control of diabetes.” People with diabetes should avoid using Splenda or any products listing sucralose on the label, including pharmaceuticals. In fact, everyone should avoid Splenda, it's a chlorinated hydrocarbon like DDT.

There is a product complaint hot line taking adverse reaction reports. Some of the complaints include a very serious skin rash, migraine headaches and seizures.
The manufacturer of sucralose has already lost two lawsuits in Philadelphia and France. There is now a billion dollar lawsuit in California against sucralose. Attorney James Turner and Citizens for Health have petitioned the FDA for product recall.
